Brunching at Sendhoor Kasturi Nagar Main Road, Bengaluru

If you are in Kasturi Nagar, Bengaluru and have a craving for some Tamil Nadu flavours, let me introduce you to one of my favourite spots—Sendhoor Restaurant on Kasturi Nagar Main Road.

Sendhoor Restaurant, Kasturinagar Main Road

Known for its authentic dishes and welcoming ambience, Sendhoor has become a popular choice for locals and food enthusiasts, offering a taste of Tamil Nadu right in the heart of Bengaluru. On October 31, 2024, I stopped by for brunch, and I am excited to share my experience, complete with some must-try dishes and tips for first-time visitors.

Kerala Parotta, Chutney, Sagu & Onion Bajji

Kerala Parotta Sendhoora
Kerala Parotta, Coconut Chutney, Sagu and Onion Bajji - Sendhoora Restaurant

I have been to Sendhoora Restaurant multiple times, and the food here consistently captures the soul of Tamil Nadu. The restaurant has branches across Bengaluru, so it is well-loved in various neighborhoods.

This time, I decided to go with Kerala Parotta served with coconut chutney and sagu. The Parotta was soft and flaky, tasting just like what you would expect in a traditional Tamil Nadu restaurant. The coconut chutney was tasty with just the right amount of spice, and the sagu was flavorful and filling, making a perfect combo. I also ordered Onion Bajji, which was crispy and delicious, giving me a taste that is hard to find elsewhere in Bengaluru.

As I sipped on a strong cup of tea, I found myself once again appreciating Sendhoor’s attention to quality and consistency. Although I did not capture a photo of the tea, I did take some shots of the Parotta and Onion Bajji with my iPhone 13, and they looked as great as they tasted.

Prices are reasonable at Sendhoora Restaurants

The prices are also pretty reasonable: the Kerala Parotta costs Rs. 60, Onion Bajji Rs. 15, and the tea Rs. 15. For anyone planning to visit, I’d also recommend trying their Idly, which comes with a variety of chutneys and sambar, or the Kara Bath (Upma), which is next-level tasty.

Ideal for family dining

Sendhoor restaurant is ideal for families and groups, with plenty of seating, though it does get crowded during breakfast and lunch hours. While there isn’t a dedicated parking area, you’ll usually find a spot close by.

The lively atmosphere only adds to the experience, as you’re surrounded by fellow food lovers. For anyone near Kasturi Nagar, or if you’re willing to make the trip, Sendhoor is absolutely worth visiting. Be sure to explore their other branches around Bengaluru, and don’t forget to share this post with family and friends!

If you’ve visited Sendhoor or know of other great spots nearby, let me know in the comments! And stay tuned as I share more dining recommendations in the area.
